Author Biography: Blackford Middleton, MD, MPH, MSc, FACP

Blackford Middleton is Vice President for Clinical Informatics at MedicaLogic, Inc., and is a practicing academic internist. He is board-certified in internal medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He received additional training in epidemiology at Yale, and health services research and informatics at Stanford. In 1991, he joined the faculty in General Internal Medicine at Stanford, and was the Acting Chief of the Internal Medicine Clinics for 6 months. In 1992 he became Medical Director for Information Management and Technology at Stanford Health Services and held that post until 1995 when he joined MedicaLogic. He currently practices part time in the Faculty Practice at the St. Vincents Hospital, Providence Health System, Portland, Ore. | | |
